Lovely to see you at our AGM

Post in The Garve & District Development Company by Tina Hartley
Thanks to those who attended the the Company's AGM and those who sent proxy forms to us, it really was appreciated.

Did you miss TG&DDC's AGM?  If so, check out the information below!

It was wonderful to present the massive amount of progress the Development Company has made around community priorities during the financial year 2021/2022 - we have achieved so much on behalf of our community and by working in partnership with other community organisations, our thanks go to Lochluichart Community Trust who have been extremely supportive over the past year, to Garve and District Community Council and not forgetting all the external funders who have supported our efforts.

In order to continue taking the community's priorities forward, it really is important that members support the company, not only by having a say in community development but by approving accounts and electing Directors.  If members don't support us, don't elect new Directors and approve accounts in future the Company may fold.

During the last financial year, we have worked so very hard on all your priorities, but especially Community Care - a massive £102,089 was invested in you, our members and residents.  Managing, or administering projects meant that you received an Energy Grant, you received Community Support Grants, you received fire alarms which we installed where required, and you received free activities - art, yoga, circuits, Zumba, coffee mornings to name but a few.  We worked to get the Shopmobility bus, a free service for our residents, up and running, we supported the community during Covid19 with care packs, community hand sanitisers and electrostatic sprayers that made community venues once again safe to visit.  What you maybe don't know is that our staff also provided support, individually, to some of the more vulnerable community residents which was such a pleasure.

Without your support at our AGMs and other Company events, without new applications to become a Director and join this great team, the Company could fold, and it is really important that our members and the wider community understand this.

So, I urge you - please do take the time to listen to our Chair's report below, do listen to the Treasurer's report and see how much money both from LCT and external funders has been invested in your community, on the community development priorities you agreed and put forward.  Without members support, without Directors, we have no Development Company.
