Check out the Taster Day UpdatePost in Community by Morven MacDonald
We have had a few excellent questions about the Taster Day.
1) Do we need to register and pay?
You are not required to pay anything on the Taster Day or in advance of the 10 follow up sessions.
You will sign in to simply say you have attended a session at the Taster Day and we will ask you to indicate which session/s you would be interested in attending as a weekly class. The demand will inform the classes provided. Once the 10 follow up sessions are up and running, the price of the class will be confirmed as either £2.50 or £3.50 depending on the length of the class. This is half the normal price for these sessions, thanks again to funding from LCT. The details of the classes which go ahead will be communicated as soon as possible after the Taster Day. You will see the details first, here, on our community hub.
2) Can children come all day or just for family yoga?
Children aged 7 upwards are welcome to all classes except the yoga session at 12-1.30pm which is suited to teenagers upwards. In order to experience the benefits of the yoga class it would not be beneficial for adults to be accompanied by children at this time.
The afternoon classes accommodate all ages under the supervision of their parent/guardian. Unfortunately children will not be able to run around in the hall as it would not be safe or helpful to the relaxing nature of the event.
3) Can anyone out with Garve and District attend?
No, only Garve and District Residents are eligible to attend. This includes all residents within the Garve and District Community Council boundary.
4) Can you drop in and out throughout the day?
You can select whichever sessions you wish to attend, whether it is 1 or all of them. Marie-Pierre, the Tutor, has found the best way to experience it is to try. Therefore all attending that session would join in and try it rather than watching. Having people watch makes other participants nervous.
