Qigong Suspended

Post in Community Groups & Events by Morven MacDonald
We need more takers for Qigong to continue. At least 4 participants must be booked for a class to go ahead. Please share.

Share with your friends in the surrounding areas and encourage them to give it a try with you.

If a different day or time would suit you better, let us know. Any questions, please ask.
Please book even if you have attended previously. Book here and complete the brief contact details requested.
The class will be suspended until we receive enough bookings to go ahead.
If we have 2 weeks without the minimum we will end the sessions for the summer.
Some of the feedback from the classes:
"Thankyou sooooo much Marie -Pierre did the first session of Qigong tonight and it was so relaxing and felt I had a wee work out too learnt about yin and yang and how to earth my body really interesting as well as fun give it a try folks you would love it"
"great for community spirit and I get to meet more lovely people"
"was great, a bit like yoga. Marie-Pierre was lovely. Looking forward to the next lesson"
Please add your feedback in the comments below or contact us directly. It really helps us know how it is going and encourages others to give it a try.
This was a very popular class at our Taster Day in February last year. You do not need any special clothing or equipment. Just as long as you are comfortable, can move freely and it is up to you whether you wear shoes or not.
What is Qigong?
Here is a clip I found online to give you a reminder of the Qigong movements. You can dip in and out of the clip to get a feel for it. Click here Qigong Clip
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Many health care professionals recommend Qigong as an important form of alternative medicine. Qigong creates an awareness of dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programs. Qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical or spiritual. All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques and mental focus.

The Qigong sessions will be fully funded by LCT via the Activate Garve & District project when we have 4 or more attending regularly.

Join in and give it a go! What better time to get your body and mind moving for better health!

I have had about 5 people showing an interest in Qigong continuing. We really need another couple to make it viable as everyone cannot usually attend. If you are interested get in touch by clicking over the words "Contact Morven" to follow the link to the brief contact form, email me on my usual address or message us through the fb page.

Thank you.
