Come and join our new Facebook Group

Green Leaves - Growing Garve & District is a new group with a mission to get residents - young and old connecting with nature.

We have lots planned!

The Green Leaves group was fully launched recently at our Think Health Think Nature event over in Lochluichart. A legacy from the Think Health Think Nature funding will be 20 community barrels filled with lovely flowers that will be spread throughout G&D. We also know that some Garve residents are keen to run an "Adopt a Barrel" Project and we hope that we can work alongside them to provide the equipment they need. How beautiful is our community going to be!

We are also working the Strathgarve Primary and thinking about activities we can run with the children here who, we are led to believe, have green fingers! We are so looking forward to this and hoping a Little Leaves Group will sprout.

In the meantime, as you know you can join our group over in the group's section but we have also had requests to form a closed G&D Facebook Group and this is now in place and already has 11 members which is just brilliant. Lovely to see the wonderful flowers and produce we have growing and wonderful to be able to support each other too.

Tina, one of the Development Company's Officers has an idea for funding and we are looking at what opportunities that might bring, so watch this space.

I appreciate not everyone uses Facebook so regular dates will, as always, be available on here, our community hub.
