Swishing - are you eco-chic?
Post in Community Energy by Zoe Bedwell CuthbertsonCome along to a delightful evening of swishing
Swishing - when someone donates a piece of clothing in exchange for another donated piece.
More and more we are hearing that the fashion industry is a key contributor to global pollution, people are becoming aware of fast fashion and the detrimental impact it has on our planet Swishing is a community based initiative that believes in eco-chic, recycling and repurposing.
TG&DDC AGM will be hosting a small swishing stall, we are asking community households to donate up to 2 items each of clean, good quality, well presented clothing (on a hanger or shoes in a box) - these can be dropped off at Garve Public Hall Monday - Friday with Uisdean.
This is a small event to introduce the idea so we don't want bags and bags of clothing, we ask you all to kindly note the clothing limit above.
Sadly, I won't be there on the evening of the AGM but will definitely be helping out prior to the event getting the clothes organised - can't wait!
Swishing costs no money and doesn’t cost the planet either. The philosophy is simple, bring something and take away something else. No holds barred.
