Post in Community by Lucy Beattie
We are pleased to announce following a successful bid to LCT to fund holiday activities for kids in Garve and District there will be a pilot of three sessions over the coming academic year.

Following a successful bid to the LCT the Garve and District Development Company are pleased to announce a pilot programme of activities for children in Garve and District during the school holidays. The community needs survey in 2016 identified a lack of holiday activities for kids in Garve and District following discussion with the board and wider community we have come up with a pilot programme which will be offered free of charge to kids living in Garve and District.

This will give young people opportunity for holiday activities within their district without having to travel distances. The project aims to reach a wide range of ages from parents with bumps and babies to older teenage children. Soon we will release details of employment opportunities in Garve and District Associated associated with this and another community project that has been funded. Watch this space...

The ranger can tailor events to seasons and natural landscapes. These events can be aimed at all ages from preschool “Puddle Jumpers” to high school. We'd like to hear your feedback on the sorts of activities you'd like to get involved with.....whether its kayaking, outdoor activities, paddle sports, rock or hillside sports. Imogen Furlong the activities manager for Highlife Highland is keen to support an activity day for Garve and District. Please comment as to what you'd like to see happening this Easter.
