TG&DDC want to let you all know how work is progressing around the Community Development Plan's strategic theme - Community Groups & Events

Progress Update - Feb 23

Remember we have a Groups & Clubs page where new groups can register and the community can see what is available within the area.
 
The diary is packed - well done Morven for organising and putting forward suggestions for events on weekdays, evenings and weekends in an effort to cater for as many people as possible - you are doing a fantastic job!  Our Activate Garve & District project  Phase 2 is going full steam ahead and we are about to enter Phase 3 thanks to funding support from Lochluichart Community Trust.

Community groups that have received support from us since our last update are  – Garve Public Hall Trustees, Achnasheen Amenities Group, Lochluichart Community Hall, Friends of Garve & District War Memorial, Green Leaves to name but a few. 

Our role is to develop community groups and help them build capacity to become self-sustainable, so if you would like to form a new group just give us a shout and we will see if others would like to join you.

Given that our rural community is so small in numbers, we feel it is important to work with neighbouring communities, not only in the promotion of their activities but also in encouraging them to come along and join us – more the merrier!
