Orders must be in by Sunday 10th May by 6pm. Open to all residents of Garve and District. Home cooked evening meals can be delivered to your door 5.00 - 6.30pm.

Out of the Blue Catering is able to provide an ordering service for daily home cooked evening meals from 5 - 6.30pm.  Please see attached PDF menu for details.  Orders must be telephoned to Uisdean Menzies on 07838 389156 by the Sunday of each week to book and pay for meals in advance.  This is to ensure strict hygiene measures are in place.  For those who cannot pay electronically payments will be accepted to the Out of the Blue catering van in Garve in a sealed envelope observing appropriate social distancing protocol.  In Garve the chip van will be open every other Saturday starting this Saturday 9th May for collection of meals from 4.30 - 7pm.  Check the Out of the Blue page for specials-  this week is chilli chicken.

This Thursday the Scottish Government is expected to make an announcement regarding continued measures of lockdown and social distancing.  Whilst the detail of this is not yet known, it is reported in the news it is "very likely" that lockdown will be extended.  As a result food delivery services will be offered for a miminum period of the lockdown, plus 12 weeks to support those who may be sheilding or supporting people with health issues in particular.

To support residents in Garve and District the Garve & District Development Company applied for funding from the LCT to support an energy grant payment and additional funds to support a COVID community response.  To date 145 households have applied for this support.  Some funds are being used to support the purchase of PPE and sanitation products to support a delivery service - weekly for veg, meat and dairy boxes via Gemah Graham and daily with Out of the Blue Catering to deliver hot, home cooked meals.

Please note this delvery service for hot food and for food boxes is OPEN TO ALL.  We had some folks suggest they felt they were perhaps less in need than others, please do not be reticent, this is to support everyone to stay at home and avoid journeys during this pandemic.   Public Health Guidance recommends that people should stay at home and avoid unneccesary travel at this time.  We hope with these measures in place they can give people food security and support for people in Garve and District to stay in their own home as well as receiving good quality nutrition.
