Garve Public Hall latest news
Post in Community Groups & Events by Alan RossEssential workers only
As Scotland moved into Phase 3 of lockdown restrictions easing, the Trustees met as a working group to risk assess and plan for the reopening of Garve Public Hall. At the moment, most community groups have either not met, or met via zoom, trustees felt it was important to meet safely given that the local school, Strathgarve Primary, was due to open its doors on 11th August 2020 and they are recognised as a principal user group for the hall.
Having conducted the risk assessment the Trustees are now in a position to make plans and preparations for the hall to re-open as public health guidelines and demand dictates. Right now the hall remains open for essential services only, and this will be considered on the 14th September 2020, following a national review by the Scottish Government. In the meantime, we are looking for funding opportunities to help us purchase supplies such as hand sanitiser, PPE and safety signage to be prepared to open when it is right to do so.
