AGM Thursday 1st November 2018

Post in Company by Sheila Mitchell
Community info stands open from 6pm: Broadband, Energy Group, Development Company and more.... Light refreshments will be available and membership forms. AGM itself starts at 7pm.

Join us, for more than just an AGM! From 6.00pm onwards…

….. there’ll be some manned information stalls in the Hall on, for example, the Energy Group, The Broadband Group, The Development Company, the community hub, the development plan, and other local groups.

You’ll be able to get information and ask questions about them in an informal setting. Light refreshments will be available. There will also be a chance to sign up and join the Garve and District Development Company with membership forms on hand.

So, why not come and browse from 6.00pm before the AGM starts.

Please get in touch, email if you would like to take a stall, or man a table at the event to represent your local group.

The AGM itself starts at 7pm and members will be asked to vote on:

  • accepting the annual accounts
  • changes to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, and
  • to elect Directors to the Board

We look forward to seeing you from 6.00 pm onwards on Thursday 1 November.

The Directors,
The Garve & District Development Company

Hi Sheree, not sure if received your member's email or not? Mailchimp said it was sent and was not rejected, so perhaps it went into your junk mail? We posted links to the various AGM bits and pieces on October 15th. Let me know if you can find the email or not.

Great Annual General Meeting last night! And as Moira said, it's not often you can call an AGM fun... but it was!

A huge thank you to Tina, Lucy, Sheila and all the members of the Board for making the AGM a great social occasion for the community last night. It was a great idea to invite local community groups to be present beforehand and to provide refreshments as well. I've never known such a party atmosphere at an AGM! And lovely to see the youngsters there too and taking part in proceedings! Good to see the amendments being voted for and adopted - sensible and practical clauses that guide many other successful Boards. And now, with a full quota of Directors and excellent Development Officers and Company Secretary, TGDDC is ready to rock! I hope members of the community feel encouraged to get involved in community projects in the knowledge that there is a great team at TGDDC ready to offer advice and support.
