Strathgarve is a wonderful Primary School and Nursery, situated in the picturesque village of Garve, providing a great facility for indoor and outdoor learning.

When we meet

Our next Parent Council meeting will be held in Strathgarve Primary at 9.30am on the 6th March 2020.

The objectives of the Parent Council are to support the school in its work with pupils; represent the views of parents; promote contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the community; report to the parent forum; support the school through fund raising activities and organising social events; and applying for and receiving grants and gifts for the benefit of the school.

    Together We Succeed

    The Parent Council are pleased to announce that their application to Lochluichart Community Trust has been approved.  For the academic year 19/20 we have £4411 to spend on extra-curricular activity.  LCT have also agreed in principle a rolling programme of funding which means we will have access to £5596 for years 20/21 and 21/22.

    This allows the Parent Council to concentrate their efforts on raising fund to make the school a brighter place for the childrren to learn e.g. painting, new carpet etc and we thank the community for their continued support of our fund raising activities.

    We woud also like to thank The Garve & District Development Company's Community Development Officer for her support in developing and submitting the application and of course thanks to LCT for approving the application which clearly forms part of the G&D Community Development Plan.

    Garve Community Lights Switch On - Saturday, 30 November 2019

    The Parent Council would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who contributed bottles to their staff at the above event.  We raised an amaxing £127 which will now be used towards making Strathgarve Primary a brighter place to learn.

    Big thanks also to Out of the Blue Catering and their volunteers for such a wonderful lights display and organising this popular and well attended event.
