NC500 at AGM
Post in Business and Tourism by Lucy BeattieCalling all B&Bs, holiday accommodation providers and businesses. Gabbi Armstrong from the North Coast 500 will be running a stall at the community information session tonight from 6pm.
The North Highlands has become one of the most iconic destinations in Scotland because of the NC500. Why not take the road that never was, that suddenly appeared, as if by magic! (NC500)
Garve and District has been called the gateway to the NC500 and the Garve and District Development company is keen to hear your thoughts on how this works for the district. Is this something the community values and can more be done? For example, these are some of the suggestions that have arisen during community consultation:
- more services on the route for visitors such as toilets and baby changing facilities
- more footpaths
- improved cycle paths
- better signposts in the area - a village sign
- a dedicated website area on garve.org for all the local tourist busniesses to showcase their properties
- a new community hub and cafe
- a Crannog visitor centre
Join us at the AGM and info session tonight to find out more and share your views.
